Ms Tess Mateo

Tess Mateo loves connecting people and ideas and so started CXCatalysts when after helping co-lead the World Business Council for Sustainable Development’s Vision 2050 initiative, people kept asking her to recommend partners for clean energy projects in emerging markets. Having witnessed up close the US and global financial markets restructuring from her position in the Office of PricewaterhouseCoopers’s Global CEO, Tess understands the critical path for transformative collaborative action. With two decades of restructuring, turnaround and start-up experience advising senior executives across several industries in dozens of countries, Tess bring innovative solutions and global networks to achieve desired results. Tess has degrees from the University of Michigan and Columbia Business School and is most proud of her three children leadership with (Making A Difference 4 kids).

Mr Vinay Rao

Vinay Rao is Managing Director Asia at CXCatalysts and Founder Director of CLIMATE3C. He helps connect the challenges and opportunities of the developing world to visionary global organizations and advises them on technology and business in US, Europe and Asia. With nearly twenty years helping build Infosys Technologies from 300 people to over 50K, he represented Infosys Chairman/CEO at various forums like the World Economic Forum (Low Carbon Economy), UN Global Compact and World Business Council for Sustainable Development. As a member of Infosys’s Sustainability Council, he helped publish their first two Sustainability Reports (GRI A+) In his free time Vinay works on his organic farm building an innovative sustainable
rural retreat.

Mrs Ariela Nathusius

Ariela Nathusius is CXCatalysts’s Guatemala Partner. Ariela Nathusius, born and raised in Guatemala, currently serves as Chief Sustainability Officer for CEMACO, the leading home improvement, home furnishings retailer in Guatemala, where she co-founded Project Aguapac (

Ms Angela Tseng

Angela Tseng, who grew up in Taiwan, California, and New York, currently lives in Hawaii to learn about sustainable agriculture and develop alternative markets for local artisans. She is a management consultant by training with deep passions in travel and hospitality industries. Her work has taken her to Abu Dhabi, San Salvador, as well as the iconic New York St. Regis Hotel, Jean Georges Restaurant Group, and Grand Ole Opry. Angela attended Stanford University for her undergraduate and masters degrees. If you don’t see her on a farm, a farmer’s market, or in front of her laptop, you will find her cycling, hiking, soul surfing, and attempting another obscure super food recipe.

Ms Cecilia Toscana

Cecilia Toscana, is a recent graduate of Stanford University who is passionate about International Development. While at Stanford, she majored in Management Science and Engineering, played ultimate Frisbee, helped manage a Co-Op, volunteered, and interned for different non profits. After graduating, she returned to her home country to work in the development field, and currently works with CEMACO and CXCatalysts managing their women’s economic empowerment Aguapac project. She currently resides in Guatemala City and travels to rural Guatemala frequently and on most afternoons can be found training for her first degree as a black belt in Kenpo Karate.

Mrs Wariko Waita

Wariko Waita is a global citizen having been born in Kenya, raised in Montreal Canada, studied in the UK and had an exciting life and career as a resident of the United States. In addition to her work with CXCatalysts she has worked in Asia, Latin America and Europe and Africa focused on education and economic empowerment of women in rural communities. Currently she is developing a new model of sustainability as the Director-External Relations and Resource Mobilization for the Kenya Red Cross Society. She was formally the Director of Development and Partnerships at Future Generations Graduate School in New York and prior to that held the same position at Global Fairness Initiative in Washington D.C. She is a certified equities dealer with the Nairobi Stock Exchange and was a Chevening scholar. She holds an MBA, Finance from Leeds University and a BSC, Biology from Concordia University in Canada.

Mr. Aalap Shah

Aalap Shah, a native of Texas whose heart is often traveling the world, has spent years working in the livelihood and income generation space. In addition to his work with CXCatalysts, Aalap founded the social enterprise 108 Mala, worked with the William J. Clinton Fellowship for Service, the Global Fairness Initiative, the Corporate Executive Board’s Business Banking Board, and the Women’s Peace Collection – all with a focus around helping female-entrepreneurs gain access to markets and gainful employment. He graduated from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, studied at the University College London and is currently residing in Austin, Texas training for his next triathlon.

Ms Natalia Martinez Romero

Natalia Martinez Romero advises multinationals interested in sustainable development including social investment and new ventures. Prior to joining CXCatalysts, she led Finish mobile innovator Nokia’s Technology for Social Development in Latin America and established strategic alliances across the region with public and civil society organizations to employ technology to help address needs in education, health and environment. Selected to represent Nokia in the World Business Council for Sustainable Development’s Future Leaders Initiative, she co-led the Foreign Direct Investment for Sustainability program, which focused on collaborative innovation and global partnerships. She began her global career managing the daily operations of the Mexican and Canadian Subsidiaries of an American publisher with responsibilities spanning from promotional campaigns and local leadership development to research into Hispanic market consumer insights and international pricing. Natalia has a Bachelors in Business Administration and a MBA from Universidad American in Paraguay, South America


Porie Saikia-Eapen, Founder and Managing Director of PRIA Global Inc., is CXCatalysts’s partner for sustainable infrastructure and the built environment. Porie has been the Business Vice President for CH2MHILL, Chief Architect of MTA-NYC Transit, Senior Associate at the LiRo Group, Program Director at NYC Department of Design and Construction and Design Architect at NYC department of Environmental Protection as well as at the Rockefeller University, NY. Her award-winning, distinguished career in the design and construction industry spans 28 years. She holds an architectural license in the US and a Chartered Institute of Buildings license as a Fellow in the UK. She is a sought-after speaker, thought-leader on sustainability, urban design, urban mobility, delivery, resource development in USA and abroad to academia and design/construction professionals at conferences and forums in UK, Switzerland, Mexico, Korea, Russia, Argentina, India, Thailand, Ireland, Vietnam, Turkey, Austria, China, Malaysia, Finland, Malaysia & North America. She is associated with numerous renowned International organizations.
